Bens Radio Producer Strategy in “Betawi Ceplas Ceplos” Program in Effort Preserving Betawi Culture

Abstract

This study aims to determinate the producer’s strategy in the Betawi Ceplas Ceplos program in an effort to preserve Betawi culture. The aim of researcheris to find out how a producer strategy on the Betawi Ceplas Ceplos program is in an effort to preserve Betawi culture. The theory used by the researchers is organizational control theory Phillip Tompkins, George Cheney, and peers and data can be obtained from this research. This research method is a qualitative descriptive approach with a post-positivism paradigm. The research subjects are producer, assistant producer, and announcer in obtaining accurate data, and the objective of research is the radio generator producer strategy of the Betawi Ceplas Ceplos program in an effort to preserve Betawi Culture. Data collection was obtained through in-depth interviews and non-participant observation conducted on key informant, informants 1, and informans II. Other data is also obtained from documentation, informants, and various other data sources. The result of this study show that the strategy carried out by the producer of the Betawi Ceplas Ceplos program in control in simple language of all communications Betawi, to restraint technical producer admit to Betawi Culture in a song, jingle, and insert, to restraint bureaucratic all bureaucratic activities and regulations are made with the language of Betawi, and the consertive control be a part of big evaluations for the program and production team. Producer always prioritize the vision and mission of Bens Radio which continues to strive to preserve Betawi culture in its programs, starting from program packaging, theme, content, and selection of announcerwho can deliver Betawi Ceplas Ceplos in a very Betawi way according to audience segmentation.
