Abstract

The wisdom of local culture in the Lebak area is very diverse, but unfortunately, it is rarely used by students and teachers for use in learning in schools. One of the local cultures in the Lebak area is rice drying culture (MOE). This research aims to describe and identify rice drying culture (MOE) that can be used as a source of physics learning. This research is a literature review with descriptive qualitative analysis with data retrieval techniques through observation and interviews. The results showed that rice drying culture (MOE) could be used as a source of physics learning called ethnophysics. The process of drying rice (MOE) can be studied physically in motion, heat, and effort. The existence of local culture can be utilized to the maximum. Teachers should utilize and use the wisdom of local culture in the area to be brought into the learning of physics contextually so that students directly learn from the phenomena and circumstances around the environment. Ethnophysics culture of drying rice in the area can be used as a source of learning physics
