Abstract

Fetal welfare monitoring (PKJ) is very important during antenatal care and delivery. The electronic device used to monitor fetal well-being is cardiotocography (CTG). Through CTG, the baseline frequency and variability of the Fetal Heart Rate (FHR), uterine contractions, and fetal movements can be monitored at the same time. The use of drawing pen tablet media helps lecturers when explaining how to read and understand the recording patterns depicted on paper. The purpose of the study to find out the benefits of using a drawing pen tablet as a tool for CTG learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Research method: pre-experimental research design with one group pretest-post test. The sample of this study was 58 students of the D-3 Midwifery Study Program of STIKes RSPAD Gatot Soebroto. The research data was obtained using the pretest (initial test) and post test (final test) scores. Data analysis used t-test difference test with a significance level of 5%. Results is the mean score on the pretest was 61.03 with a standard deviation of 10.99. After getting the material with the help of drawing pen tablet media and conducting a practicum of monitoring fetal welfare, a final test was carried out, the average value was 71.03 with a standard deviation of 19.84. The mean difference between the initial and final tests was 10.345 with a standard deviation of 21.416. The statistical test results obtained a significance value of 0.001, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the initial test and the final test of the fetal welfare monitoring practicum. The drawing pen tablet learning media helps understanding in CTG learning.
