Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of online learning towards on social studies learning results for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta. This research used a quantitative approach. While the type of this research is correlational. The sample used in the study amounted to 68 students. The results showed that the independent variable (online learning) had a negative effect on the dependent variable (learning outcomes). In simple regression analysis, the SPSS output data is the tcount generated on the online learning variable is 0.542 with a sig of 0.590. The result of sig analysis 0.590 is greater than 0.05 and tcount (0.542) is smaller than Ttable (1.670). Then the results show that Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. This means that during the Covid-19 pandemic, the online learning system does not have a significant effect on social studies learning outcomes for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta.
