Abstract

This study aims to find out how the implementation transformational leadership of the principal at senior high school 89 Jakarta with sub focus of principal leadership in providing idealized influence and leadership of the principal in giving individual consideration. The approach used is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations and documentation studies. Subjects of this study were principal, vice curriculum, head of administration, and teacher. The result of the research shows that: (1) the principal's leadership in giving idealized influence in senior high school 89 Jakarta is to be a good example, to solve problems such as in discipline of teacher and employee by observing and reprimanding personally. Principals reward teachers and employee achievements like thanks and giving rewards. (2) the principal's leadership in giving individual consideration at senior high school 89 Jakarta is that the principal always follow up the needs of teachers and staff, always hold workshops, and trainings such as internal MGMP and external MGMP, and IHT training (In House Training) which is a training program internal, and provide learning opportunities for teachers and employees to continue their studies.
