Abstract

Transparency is key in efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption. Without transparency, corruption is difficult to detect and overcome. Clear, accurate, and publicly accessible data and information will encourage accountability of government officials. However, the implementation of transparency is often faced with various challenges, such as a closed bureaucratic culture, weak law enforcement, and minimal public participation in supervision. The formulation of the problem is how do the current transparency regulations contribute to preventing corruption? And what are the obstacles faced in implementing transparency regulations in government? The research method used is normative juridical. The results of the study show that the current transparency regulations show that these regulations have a significant contribution to preventing corruption. By increasing access to public information, encouraging accountability, and facilitating public participation, transparency regulations can reduce opportunities for corruption.
