Prevention of Drug Use Through Planting Character Education in Youth Organizations Jati Warna Village, Bekasi City

Abstract

With the current conditions, everything is difficult, there are many unemployed and many teenagers and young people who have an innocent attitude with life problems trying to run from problems and are trapped and do not understand about drugs. This activity aims to provide counseling and understanding to youth youth groups in the Jati Warna sub-district, Bekasi City. Taking into account the health protocol, this activity was attended by 25 participants which was held at the Taruna Youth Hall, Jati Warna Village, Bekasi City. In the extension activities using the face-to-face method with participants by providing and explaining the theory of an educational perspective, explaining the concept of character education and the steps in learning character education. This activity resulted in positive things and went well according to the plan and the response from the participants to this activity was very fast and interesting by providing understanding and knowledge of the dangers of using illegal drugs by planting character education. It is hoped that this outreach activity can be carried out on a regular basis.
