Abstract

Rasau Jaya Tiga Village, Rasau Jaya District is the center of rice production in Kubu Raya Regency. However, there are found some problems in the cultivation activities, specificcaly the lack of availability of organic fertilizer and also the farmers are not commonly of making their own organic fertilizer. The limitations to get the chemical fertilizer and pesticides that is caused by the highly cost is dilemmatic. An alternative solution is to empower the potential of available local resources, that is utilizing the wild plant Tithonia diversifolia and a mixture of vegetable waste into liquid organic fertilizer. Thus, it needs training to  manufacture the liquid organic fertilizer from wild Tithonia diversifolia plants and a mixture of vegetable waste, that the farmers can produce the fertilizer for their rice plants. The training involved lectures and demonstrations method. Based on the results of this Community Service activity, it can be concluded that this activity received positive responses from farmer groups because the technology used is simple and easy to apply. The output from the technological aspect is the knowledge and skills of the Rasau Jaya Tiga farmers in producing liquid organic fertilizer. The output from other aspects is in the form of a change for the better of the management system and the growth of entrepreneurial spirit from farmers in the field of liquid organic fertilizer.
